When you are skydiving, there are five pieces of equipment

that you are going to need. These will help ensure that you

stay safe and comfortable when you are skydiving. Weíll

take a look at these pieces of equipment.

1. Parachute – Of course, this is the one that everyone

thinks about. This, of course, is the most important piece

of equipment because it is the thing that slows your

descent after you pulll the parachute line.

2. Jumpsuit – Most people think that they can go skydiving

in just about anything, but thatís not true. The jumpsuit

is not just something that is a fashion statement, but it

willl help you to stay comfortable and protect you from the

winds and other things that you can encounter in the air.

It can also help you if you have a bad landing, and protect

your skin from cuts and scratches.

3. AAD – This, like your parachute, can really save you

life in case of an emergency. Itís called an automatic

activation device, and it will automatically open your

chute if you are unable to. It does this by measuring the

speed of descent.

4. Altimeter – You will need to open your chute at certain

altitude and this will help you determine when is the right

time to open the chute.

5. Protective gear – Just like with any type of extreme

sport, it’s always a good idea to have gear that will

protect you such as a helmet and padding for your knees and

elbows. It’s also not a bad idea to have a spine protector,

which is quite useful if you fall on your back when you

land.
